To mark its fifth year, Tucson Festival of Books is launching two exciting programs to recognize and develop great writing by adults: the 2013 Tucson Festival of Books Literary Awards Writing Competition and Masters Workshop.
Fiction, nonfiction and poetry entries are now being accepted!!
First-place winners in each category will receive $1,000. Second-place winners receive $500, and third-place winners $250. All winners will be awarded scholarships to the 2013 Tucson Festival of Books Masters Workshop, March 11-12, 2013, in Tucson, Arizona.
The top 50 entrants will also be invited to attend a Masters Workshop following the 5th annual Tucson Festival of Books.
Several authors who are presenters at the March 9-10 Tucson Festival of Books will be among the judges for the writing competition. These authors will also comprise the faculty for the two-day Masters Workshop, including Larry Watson, author of “Montana 1948,” and Ann Hood, author of “The Red Thread.”
