Original Children’s Stories + Artistic Interpretation =  Best of Stories that Soar!

Join Literacy Connects on Sunday, May 20th for Best of Stories that Soar! at the Temple of Music and Art. This family-friendly fundraising event celebrates the power of children’s imaginations, literacy and the performing arts!!

This school year, children in 14 different elementary schools throughout Southern Arizona fed the hungry, story-eating Magic Box thousands of stories. Stories that Soar! returned some of those stories in a truly magical way – through live  performances by the STS! professional acting troupe. Utilizing comedy, drama, acrobatics, dance and music, every show features storytelling styles as varied as the children’s stories themselves.

Two separately ticketed shows (4-5 pm and 6:30-7:30 pm) showcase audience favorites from every school that Stories that Soar! visited this year. You’ll find zany characters as well as touching life stories. From silly to scary, sweet to serious, there is something for everyone. Between shows, enjoy free refreshments and entertainment while you help honor the student authors and learn more about programs of Literacy Connects.

Tickets are just $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under, and may be purchased in advance on our website or in person at Antigone Books. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
