Adult Basic Literacy

Adult Basic Literacy helps adult learners:

  • improve reading, writing and math skills
  • engage more fully with their communities
  • build their confidence as literate members of society

English Language Acquisition for Adults

ELAA helps students learn and improve their English. Students come from more than 70 countries and have educational levels that vary from college graduates to those who do not read and write in their native language.

Reach Out and Read

Reach Out and Read is a national evidence-based program that promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms by giving new, developmentally, and culturally appropriate books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud.

Reading Seed

Reading Seed supports public elementary schools and students by:

  • Partnering with Title I schools to support their students in developing healthy relationships with books and reading
  • Selecting and training volunteers to provide one-to-one reading coaching for students in kindergarten – 2nd grade
  • Emphasizing reading as a positive experience in a non-judgmental environment
  • Increasing students’ confidence and skills through our student-centered, strengths-based approach to literacy
  • Providing free books to students based on their individual interests to encourage independent reading

Stories that Soar!

Stories that Soar! programs (STS!) empowers K-12 students by giving voice to their original words and creative ideas through a variety of literacy and arts programs.
