“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is:  What are you doing for others?”        Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Literacy Connects offices will be closed on Monday for MLK Day, but we invite you to join our Reading Seed staff at Reid Park (Ramadas # 14 & 15) from 10 am to Noon for a morning of literacy-focused community service!

The American Red Cross is partnering with Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona and nearly a dozen other organizations, including Literacy Connects, to give back to the Tucson community as a way of honoring Dr. King.  There will be opportunities for everyone to participate in something that they’re passionate about, so please consider coming out to help sort and clean donated books – and remember to bring any new or gently used books you no longer need.

We look forward to being a part of this awesome project!
