The seventh annual Tucson Festival of Books is coming up 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 14 and 15!
This two-day festival is expected to attract more than 135,000 book lovers to the University of Arizona Mall and nearby venues for exhibits, hands-on literacy activities and presentations by more than 400 authors. The event is free for the whole family.
Financial support from the festival makes much of Literacy Connects’ programming possible.
Please enjoy the festival, and encourage your friends stop by the Literacy Connects booth. They can learn more about the impact of our programs and sign up for an upcoming orientation – the first step to becoming a volunteer.
Also, be sure to catch our Stories that Soar! ensemble at noon Saturday on the Children’s Stage. They will be performing original stories written by students from Robison Elementary School.
Since its launch in 2009, the Tucson Festival of Books has contributed $1,050,000 to literacy programs in Southern Arizona, including Literacy Connects.
