Stories that Soar! TV
STS! TV is a program in which middle and high school students, media artists and professional actors team up to promote literacy, leadership and academic engagement through story sharing and filmmaking.
Middle and high school students transform selected stories into short films through a collaborative process facilitated by theatre and film professionals. Students gain valuable skills in communication, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity, but also develop technological literacy through the editing process. Original story content is drawn from STS! TV participants or a partner elementary school via the Stories that Soar! Magic Box program.
Past partnerships include teen time programming with the Valencia and Joel D. Valdez branches of the Pima County Public Library, and Lapan College Club’s summer theatre camp. Enjoy STS! TV films from past partnerships below!
