Preschool Program

We provide professional development in early literacy for child-care providers and preschool teachers. We then place lending libraries of multicultural hardcover books in preschools and child-care centers. Early literacy consultants are assigned to certain centers for in-depth support in the area of early literacy. Storytime volunteers are trained and scheduled to read once a week to classes of three- and four-year-olds at participating centers.
