Literacy Volunteers of Tucson

Basic Literacy Students

My name is Nora Elva Luzania de Cazares. I am 30 years old and married to a wonderful man named Sergio Ruben Cazares, Jr. I am a full time student and when I’m done I want to go into the medical field. Currently I’m also a cosmetologist, but I would like to work with kids who have terminal illnesses, so I want to combine the medical and cosmetology fields in order to do that. I think that it’s possible to do.

Read some of LVT’s student stories in Literacy Ventures in Tucson: a magazine by and about LVT students.

Basic Literacy tutor, Judy Davis, has started a blog with student stories.  Check out this website: Stories from our Writer’s Workshop
