Does this sound like you?
“I’d like to use technology, but…”
- I’m just a beginner myself!
- When do I have time?
- How do I use technology in ways that enhance teaching and learning?
Maybe you are wired into social networks, but do you know how to teach with them?
Schedule for the Day:
9:00 Keynote Address: ”From Paper and Pencil to the Digital Age” by Dr. Alice Christie
10:00 Break
10:15 Group workshop: Dr. Christie will guide us in using our digital devices to create authentic learning opportunities with students.
11:30 Lunch
12:30 Poster Session: Local teachers will demonstrate how they are using technology and some specific educational apps in classrooms
1:00 Break out Workshops: For this exploratory session, groupings will be based on participants’ relationship to technology (Super Techie, Non-Techie, Tech Newbie, etc) instead of grade level. Dr. Christie will circulate to consult with each group.
