Have a voice in planning and shaping the future of the Tucson area with the Imagine Greater Tucson project.

In spite of current economic conditions, the Greater Tucson Region is expected to recover and continue to grow in the coming years and decades. In fact, within the next half-century the population of the region is projected to double. While growth will certainly provide new opportunities to many of the region’s residents, it will also exacerbate current challenges and likely present many new ones. With the economic conditions as they are, now is the time to prepare for that growth.–Imagine Greater Tucson

How to Participate

  • Take the Choose How Our Region Grows survey.
  • Talk to your friends and neighbors about the future of the Tucson region.
  • Come to an Imagine Greater Tucson meeting at your library.

Imagine Greater Tucson at Your Library

Imagine Greater Tucson (IGT) is a community-based effort that is engaging the people in the Greater Tucson Region in creating a shared vision for our region’s future. Beginning January 15, 2012, IGT will engage at least 10,000 residents in the Greater Tucson Region in a conversation about how the land use choices we make for the future will impact our quality of life.

IGT and your Pima County Public Library are hosting 2-hour open houses where you can share your views on a preferred future for the Greater Tucson Region.
