"Sometimes life seems overwhelming, but every week I meet someone who isn't able to read, has no job and has a desire to change. In the three years I have volunteered with LVT, I have made a difference in our community, our world, one person at a time. It is possible." ~Donna, LVT tutor

Volunteers are the heart of soul of Literacy Volunteers of Tucson.  All LVT tutors are volunteers. They provide almost all direct contact with students. LVT volunteers come from many different backgrounds and experiences. This variety enriches our whole program.

Join us to learn about Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, what we’re doing in the community and what you can do to help.

Explore the possibility of becoming a tutor for adults in need of basic literacy (reading & writing) and English skills. Sign up for a Literacy Volunteers of Tucson New Volunteer Orientation. This is a no-commitment information session about the mission, volunteer opportunities, and impact of LVT.

Seating is limited. Please call (520) 882-8006 to reserve your place.
