Become a Tutor

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our programs. All of our tutors are volunteers, and they provide almost all of the direct contact with students. Tutors come from many different backgrounds and experiences.

Tutors take 12 hours of initial training and make a one year commitment. Literacy Connects offers resources, professional development and staff support as tutors work with their students.

Our most successful tutors are flexible, communicative and positive.
