Training Opportunity for Volunteer Tutors of Refugees

 

Literacy Connects’ English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA) program and Pima Community College’s Refugee Education Program (REP) are offering a training session focused on practical techniques to help students develop their English language speaking and listening skills, as well as emerging reading and writing skills. This hands-on training is intended for volunteers or community members who are already volunteering* with a refugee-focused volunteer organization.

This training will be held 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9 at Literacy Connects, 200 E. Yavapai Road. Fee for the training, which includes training materials, is $35.

 

Register Online by Monday, February 5th**

**Literacy Connects volunteers should contact ELAA program staff directly to register.
